This has been my last toolbox, really makes me think that time does fly. I feel like yesterday I was beginning this course, freaked out of what I would do all month. But now that it is my final class, and I have my design ready, and my shoots turned out amazing, we were asked to write a promotional statement selling our product to the audience.
There were some key questions in order to get us started, that personally for me I feel like they helped me a lot to get right on track. I began stating who am I as a designer, to be recognized to my audience, what is the big news that they are sharing with the public, and that would be the launch of a new product. With excitement I mention how the artist, Manuela Hinojosa has finally heard all of our fan’s prayers, in creating a bag that will simplify our lives problems; a make-up bag to go. It’s an amazing and unique idea that would be only seen in MK’s new collection, which will be launched on the 31st of October, and for any online customer on the 1st of November. Finally addressing that this would be a lifesaver product for all of the make-up fans out there as it is a sustainable product, and the make-up kit has not been animal tested.
While I was writing all of this promotional statement, I had to constantly remind myself what I as a customer would like to know about a new product launching. Listening to my need as a customer, making this assignment even easier, as well as looking at the questions and the structure we were given. With this, I finished my promotional statement, and I revised it two times to really make It sound cheerful and like a selling ad. I included pictures, for this one and made it into the format so that it would be ready to go.
With this finish, I have completed my last toolbox session, and now I just have to be ready for the final presentation, and the hand in, I believe in my product, and in everything I have worked so hard to achieve, I just hope I portray that in my A3 file next week.
