Toolbox session 8

For this toolbox session, we had to come ready with our idea so that we could make a final illustration. I was quite clear that I wanted to pursue the idea of the make-up bag, as I feel it would fit my customer perfectly.

We were told to explore with different materials as they were asking us to illustrate at least with two different media. With this, I knew I wanted to create the bag and a finished look, but my skills in make-up are more in a face rather than a paper. It is for this reason that I asked that I made a final look for the make-up but I didn’t like it. It is when I decided to do the interior of the bag and the print of it online, do the make-up face to face, and make a magazine out of that. With this In mind the illustration of my product it came so much easier.

I did a more explained kind of step-by-step illustration of the bag on my iPad, in which I got the idea of the colors and the design. As the product had to reflect all of my research in one single thing, I decided to be creative and have the upper part of the holder, be a telephone one. Also, I decided that the graffiti prints, will be the final look for the bag and that I will have brilliant colors based on my customer’s traits.

With all of this idea in mind, I didn’t get to finish my illustration this one class, so I did take it for homework, hoping it doesn’t take me all day, but I am excited about my product. I can say that it was tweaked at first the first sketches that I made, but it was definitely a strength how I came up with the entire different solution, an hour later. I enjoy seeing how my project is turning out, and how I have joined all ideas together and still make it work. Can’t wait to have my final illustration so for that to become. a project, I believe in what I have made and can wait to see it all created.
