Still being an AA student I haven’t been able to fully participate in activities and it has been really frustrating at times as I feel really limited with my tools, but I have tried my best to keep on track and give an equal effort. I wasn’t able to visit the museum in person, but I was able to investigate it online and find so many interesting artifacts that helped with my research. As we were asked to focus on my theme, I decided to focus on communication, and how telephones have evolved over the years. Thankfully in the Science Museum, there was an entire collection of different telephone mobiles and their ages and they all belong to the same category. I wished I would have had the opportunity to look at them at the display face to face, but I managed to make the sketches from the images on the internet.
I decided to really dedicate time to the sketches of what I had seen as I was limited to the information from the museum’s webpage, but I was thrilled with my sketches. I used the materials that I was able to get and work with them all the way till the end, giving it value and color to the sketching. In some parts I began to frustrate, as I havent sketch like this in quite a time, and it tooke me the first two drawing to get a handle of it, but I enjoyed the activity. Aside from the fact that when I was drawing, a million ideas came to my mind about possible products that I could create based on this idea of communication, and telephones, making a new model, or creating a pattern with the colors. It was exciting to do this workshop but I would have really wished that I would have been able to go on person to live the full experince.
